Engine failures can occur in any phase of flight. But what’s the real risk of it happening to you? Not very high, as it turns out. And more than half of engine failures—maybe a lot more than half—are caused by errors in maintenance or operation by the pilot that are avoidable. Paul Bertorelli recently completed an exhaustive research project on the subject and presents some of his findings in this webinar. Bertorelli is Editor at Large for Avweb and is a veteran aviation journalist. He’s an ATP-CFII and has been fooling around with airplanes for more than 40 years. He owns a vintage J-3.

Please note that this webinar begins at 6PM Pacific Time! A recording will be made available at a later date.

We kindly request that you register using the FAA's SPANS network at this link: https://www.faasafety.gov/SPANS/event_details.aspx?eid=104728. This is in order to make validating Wings credits easier.
